DOES ISLAM NEED FEMINISM?

Does Islam Need Feminism? My thoughts, No... ISLAM doesn't. But Muslim societies? Yes, perhaps WE need a feministic touch to remind us of the rights given to women at the advent of Islam as well as the rich history of amazing Muslim women in past centuries.
